In the spirit of Ramadan, Karpowership Ghana has extended its support to the Muslim community in Sekondi by donating essential food items to help households observe the holy month.
The donation, led by Sandra Amarquaye, Communications Manager of Karpowership Ghana, included bags of rice, cooking oil, canned tomatoes, and assorted drinks, benefiting about 200 households.
The team also donated hampers to widows and single mothers to support their homes.
This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to fostering strong community ties and promoting social well-being.
As part of the engagement, the Karpowership team also joined the Muslim community for their Friday Jum’ah prayers, sharing in the spiritual reflection and unity that Ramadan embodies.
Speaking at the event, Sandra Amarquaye emphasized Karpowership Ghana’s dedication to supporting the communities in which it operates. “At Karpowership, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back, especially during significant moments like Ramadan. We hope this contribution brings relief and joy to families as they observe this sacred month. It is always an honor to stand with the communities we serve.”
Receiving the items on behalf of the community, the Western Regional Chief Imam, Alhaj Zulkifli Abdul Wahid, expressed deep appreciation for the donation.
“Ramadan is a time of sacrifice, prayer, and charity, and we are grateful to Karpowership Ghana for their continuous support. This gesture will go a long way in easing the burden of many families. We pray for Allah’s blessings upon Karpowership and all those who contributed to this noble cause.”
This donation aligns with Karpowership’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, which focus on community empowerment, sustainability, and social inclusion.
