Ghanaian gospel collective Team Eternity Ghana has clinched the coveted No. 1 spot on the Apple Music Top 100: Ghana chart with their latest single, “Defe Defe,” from their sophomore album, “Testimony.”
This groundbreaking accomplishment sees Team Eternity Ghana dethroning the previous chart-topper, “Asylum,” by emerging musical sensation Olive The Boy.
The collective’s dominance doesn’t end there, as they’ve secured an impressive total of 7 spots on the chart with tracks such as “Ghana Chant,” “Brass Band Medley,” the soul-stirring collaboration “Jehova Over Do” featuring Nigerian singer Eben, “Miracle Working God,” “Tribute,” the title track “Testimony,” and “W’asem.”
These songs have rapidly climbed the ranks to claim positions ranging from No. 25 to No. 94, all within a mere week of the album’s release.
This remarkable achievement not only showcases Team Eternity’s musical prowess but also serves as a beacon of solace and spiritual upliftment during these challenging times.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of Team Eternity Ghana, the group’s music director conveyed heartfelt appreciation for the overwhelming support received from fans and listeners.
“We are truly humbled and grateful for the opportunity to share our music with the world,” he remarked. “Our mission has always been to spread the message of God’s love and grace through our songs, and to see them resonate with so many people is incredibly fulfilling.”
“Testimony” stands as the collective’s second major release following their breakout album “Sound of Eternity,” which debuted in 2022. Featuring 14 soul-stirring tracks, the album includes notable collaborations with spiritual luminaries such as Lordina, Pastor Isaiah, and EBEN, reflecting the collective’s unwavering faith and devotion to God.
