Access Bank Ghana has launched a revamped and fully digitalised ‘Pick Now, Pay Later’ platform, designed to give salary workers and everyday Ghanaians faster, clearer, and more convenient access to credit.

Speaking at the launch, Head of Distribution and Product Capabilities, Michael Djaba, described the upgrade as a major step forward in delivering financial solutions that are truly responsive to the pressures of modern life.

“Standing here today feels like one of those moments where progress becomes real — real in the lives of everyday people,

“Financial products only matter when they make life easier for our customers. This is exactly what today is about,” he said.

A faster, smarter credit solution

Michael Djaba noted that although the previous model served its purpose, the world has changed — and customer expectations have changed with it.

“People now need speed, clarity, convenience — they need us to meet them where they already are,” he explained.

With the enhanced platform, customers who once waited a day or two for approval can now complete their loan process in just six minutes.

“What would have taken a day or two, I’ve got an approval now in six minutes,” he announced, adding that the new system makes it possible for users to navigate the entire credit journey “with ease, with confidence, and without delay.”

Zero interest for the first 6 months

Access Bank is offering zero-percent interest for the first six months on all items purchased through the platform.

“What that means is that whatever you pick, you pay exactly the price on the shop floor — no interest for the first six months,” he clarified.

He encouraged customers to take advantage of this rare opportunity, especially those looking to purchase essential household or office items, building materials, furniture, or mobile phones.

Expansive list of retail partners

Access Bank has partnered with a diverse network of trusted vendors to ensure customers can conveniently access a wide range of quality products across different areas of need.

These collaborations make it easier for users of the ‘Pick Now, Pay Later’ platform to secure essential household items, office equipment, building materials, electronics, and more — all with greater affordability and convenience.

Some of the key partners currently on board include Ashfoam, Electromart, Simba Tech, Toprecord.com, West Africa Hardware, Electroland, Optimo Solar, and Front Trading, among others.

The bank notes that this list will continue to expand, with more vendors expected to join to serve customers across the country.

Michael Djaba assured customers that the partnerships will continue to expand nationwide, stating that the goal is to “capture every need, right from Accra all the way to Fufulso.”

Progress rooted in empathy

He emphasised that the new ‘Pick Now, Pay Later’ is built on a deep understanding of the financial pressures customers face.

“I’ve heard stories from customers who work so hard for their families but still need a little breathing room when life moves faster than the wallet does,

“These stories stay with me. They remind us that innovation only matters when it improves the lives of ordinary people,” he said.

The upgraded service, he believes, represents progress rooted in empathy and technology grounded in real life.

A renewed commitment to customers

He urged customers to embrace the new digital solution and enjoy a faster, more flexible credit experience.

“Thank you for being here as we celebrate not just a relaunch, but a renewed commitment to the people we proudly serve,” he said.

COO highlights human-centered purpose of the upgrade

Chief Operating Officer of Access Bank Ghana, Ugochi Okoro, reinforced the significance of the new platform, stressing that its purpose goes far beyond digital convenience.

“In truth, today is not just about unveiling a platform. It is about honouring the people who rely on us — the workers who show up every day, the families carrying responsibilities that never go away,” she said.

According to her, the enhanced service is tailored to moments when essential purchases cannot wait and support must come quickly and stress-free.

She noted that the 0% interest offer for the first six months reflects Access Bank’s commitment to making financial access “more transparent, more dependable and more humane.”

Ugochi Okoro also reassured customers of the platform’s security, noting that the mobile-based solution incorporates strong authentication measures to keep users safe from fraud.

“Every feature was designed with one intention — to make life a little easier and give customers the speed they deserve,” she added.

Access Bank’s enhanced ‘Pick Now, Pay Later’ platform is now available to customers nationwide.
