Abduction: National Security denies involvement, initiates investigations

The Ministry of National Security has denied any involvement of its officers in the alleged abduction of Sylvia Baah, the Manager of Emirates Airlines at Kotoka International Airport.
In a categorical statement, the Ministry emphasized that neither its personnel nor officers from the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) participated in the purported incident.

Investigations underway
The Ministry has initiated investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction.
It assured the public that any culprits identified would face the full rigors of the law once the investigation is concluded.

Police rescue efforts
The Ghana Police Service reported that Sylvia Baah was rescued from her alleged abductors.

Alleged circumstances leading to the incident
Reports suggest that Sylvia Baah’s abduction might have been linked to an earlier incident at the airport, where she reportedly prevented two men and a woman from boarding an Emirates flight.
Allegedly, the trio threatened to “deal with her,” which was followed by her abduction by individuals suspected to be operatives of the National Security and the NIB.
The Ministry has not confirmed these allegations and has reiterated its commitment to uncovering the truth.
