A delegation from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has paid a courtesy call on the leadership of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) as part of activities marking the university’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
The visit, which took place on Monday, February 16, 2026, was led by the Chairman of the UPSA 60th Anniversary Planning Committee and Chief Executive Officer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), Mr. Kwabena Agyekum.
The delegation met with the Commissioner-General of the GRA, Mr. Anthony Kwasi Sarpong, and Commissioner Dr. Martin Kolbil Yambrigya.
Mr. Agyekum congratulated the GRA leadership on their recent appointments and commended the Authority for its critical role in domestic revenue mobilisation.

The Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee and President of the UPSA Global Alumni Association, Mr. Francis Dadzie, explained that the purpose of the visit was to formally invite the GRA to participate in the UPSA @60 anniversary celebrations.
He outlined key events lined up for the milestone, including the relaunch of the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS) on March 17, 2026, and a Public Annual Lecture and Business Conference scheduled for May.

In his response, Dr. Martin Kolbil Yambrigya praised UPSA for its tradition of strong leadership and discipline, describing the institution as one that has shaped many distinguished professionals.

As an alumnus himself, he expressed pride in the university’s achievements and pledged to mobilise GRA staff who are UPSA graduates to support the anniversary programme.
