Former parliamentary candidate for the Klottey Korle constituency on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Valentino Nii Noi Nortey has reportedly been arrested in the United States for allegedly stabbing his wife during a domestic incident.
Valentino Nortey, 41, of Harrisburg, has been charged with attempted homicide, possession of an instrument of crime with intent to use, and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence following a stabbing incident on Saturday, January 17, 2026.
The Lower Paxton Township Police confirmed the charges on Monday.
Police report that the incident occurred around 10 a.m. during a domestic dispute on Mayfair Drive in Lower Paxton Township.
The woman involved was taken to the hospital by first responders and is currently in stable condition.
Authorities say details surrounding the incident are still limited, but emphasised that there was no threat to the general public.
Nortey is being held at Dauphin County Prison ahead of a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 26, 2026, as investigations continue.
