Military sources report that the incident took place earlier in the week inside a pharmacy within the camp. WO1 Williams, who is said to be stationed at the Office of the Chief of Staff, reportedly became violent and physically attacked the pharmacist during a confrontation.

A viral video from the scene shows a tall, dark-skinned man who is a soldier aggressively confronting the pharmacist, striking him across the face before attacking a female customer at Burma Camp.

The woman, who appeared to be recording the altercation, was punched several times in the head as onlookers reacted in shock.

Witnesses described the attack as sudden and unwarranted, leaving both victims distressed.

Military police officers intervened shortly after the incident and arrested the officer. He has since been transferred to the Cantonments Police Station to assist with ongoing investigations and potential legal action.

The Ghana Armed Forces have yet to issue an official statement.

However, sources suggest that internal disciplinary measures may follow in addition to criminal proceedings, should the officer be found culpable.

The confrontation has triggered strong reactions within the military community, with many calling for decisive action to maintain discipline and protect the reputation of the Ghana Armed Forces.
