PRINPAG honors Assorow and Attah for their outstanding recognition as ambassadors

The Private Newspapers and Online Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has congratulated two of its distinguished members, Sir Benedict Batabe Assorow and Alhaji Haruna Attah, on their appointments as Ambassadors of the Republic of Ghana.

In a statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Jeorge Wilson Kingson, PRINPAG described the appointments as a proud moment for the association and a recognition of the significant contributions media practitioners make to Ghana’s national development and international representation.

Sir Benedict Assorow, a veteran journalist and former Editor of the Catholic Standard newspaper, has been appointed Ghana’s Ambassador to the Vatican.

Alhaji Haruna Attah, a seasoned journalist with the Daily Mail newspaper, will serve as Ghana’s Ambassador to Namibia.

PRINPAG praised both appointees for their long-standing service in journalism and public discourse, noting that their elevation to high diplomatic office highlights their dedication, competence, and integrity.

“We are confident that Sir Benedict Batabe Assorow and Alhaji Haruna Attah will discharge their duties with utmost professionalism and distinction, thereby bringing further honour to our country,” PRINPAG statement said.

The association also expressed its appreciation to the Government of Ghana for the appointments, adding that the decision reflects the trust placed in journalists as key contributors to governance, diplomacy, and nation-building.

PRINPAG extended its best wishes to the two new envoys as they take on their ambassadorial responsibilities and reaffirmed its belief that they will play vital roles in strengthening Ghana’s international relations.
