Former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya and head of the Safo family, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has firmly denied rumours circulating online that her father, Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has died.

In a strongly worded statement on Tuesday, Adwoa Safo described the publications, which appeared on several online portals as “false, malicious, and deeply insensitive,” stressing that her father is “hale and hearty.”

Warning to Media and Bloggers

The former MP cautioned media outlets and bloggers involved in spreading the unverified reports to immediately retract their stories and issue public apologies or face legal action.

“My father is alive, in good health, and going about his normal duties. These death hoaxes are reckless and disrespectful. I am warning all those behind these publications to retract and apologise immediately, or we will not hesitate to seek redress in court,” she stated.

Birthday celebration in August

Adwoa Safo disclosed that Apostle Safo will be celebrating his birthday on August 30, and that the family, together with the Kristo Asafo Church, is preparing a grand celebration in his honour.

She urged the public to disregard the false news and rely only on credible sources for information about her father’s well-being.

Profile of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka

Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, often referred to as the “Star of Africa,” is a Ghanaian inventor, philanthropist, industrialist, and founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission.

He is celebrated for pioneering indigenous automobile manufacturing in Ghana through Kantanka Automobile, as well as producing a wide range of locally made technologies, from machinery to electronics.

Beyond his industrial achievements, Apostle Safo is known for his humanitarian work, supporting education, agriculture, and community development across the country.
