Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa, popularly known as Afia Schwarzenegger, is not backing down. The outspoken Ghanaian media personality has responded fiercely to the GH¢10 million defamation lawsuit by Sammy Gyamfi, brushing it off with scathing remarks and unshakable defiance.

In a video posted on social media, Afia openly challenged the Ghana Gold Board CEO, daring him to “go to hell” and declaring that the legal action would ultimately come to nothing.

Her response comes in the wake of Gyamfi’s lawsuit, which accuses her of making serious defamatory claims, including allegations of infidelity and misconduct.

Citing a previous case involving controversial media figure Kevin Taylor, Afia voiced confidence that the court would dismiss the suit.

“Have you seen how Kevin Taylor’s case went? That is the same way our case would go. Kevin Taylor has insulted Otumfour, the Chief Imam, yet he walks free,” she said.

Continuing her attack, Afia ridiculed the lawsuit and made it clear she has no intention of offering any compensation, even if Gyamfi wins the case.

“Sammy Gyamfi, go to hell. Go and receive a defunct judgment. You have won the case. Moreover, I don’t have a pesewa in Ghana for you to take if you win the case. I don’t have any property in Ghana,” she declared.

The GodBod CEO filed a defamation suit against the TV personality, seeking GH¢10 million in damages over comments she made about him.

According to court documents seen by The NewsCenta, Afia is alleged to have made the remarks on her TikTok account, ‘Queen Afia Kande Schwar @queen schwar,’ which boasts over 526,500 followers. In the posts, she claimed to have knowledge that Gyamfi was buying cars for female students at the University of Ghana.

Gyamfi has denied the accusations, stating that he has no romantic involvement with any student at the university and has never purchased a car for anyone fitting that description.

He also refutes claims that he bought a house in the United States for his wife’s sister, and denies the existence of any woman named “Vida,” who Afia claims is related to his wife.

As a result, Gyamfi is suing for defamation of character.

In addition to monetary damages, he is requesting a perpetual injunction to prevent Afia from making further defamatory remarks about him.

He is also asking the court to compel her to issue a public retraction and unqualified apology, to be published on the front and back pages of The Daily Graphic for three consecutive editions. The apology must also be shared on TikTok and all other platforms where the original statements appeared, and must receive the same level of visibility.

Finally, Gyamfi is seeking exemplary damages of GH¢10 million, legal costs including counsel’s fees, and any other relief the court may deem appropriate.
