Ghana head coach Otto Addo has officially named the Black Stars squad set to face Nigeria for the upcoming 2025 Unity Cup at the GTech Community Stadium in West London on Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Otto Addo has announced a fresh squad list featuring both home-based players and Europe-based stars ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
Among the standout local talents are Benjamin Asare from Hearts of Oak, Razak Simpson of Nations FC, Kamaradini Mamudu from Medeama SC, and Kwame Opoku, who plays for Asante Kotoko. These home-based players have impressed in the Ghana Premier League and earned well-deserved spots on the senior national team.
Also making headlines is Joseph Tetteh Anang, a St. Patrick’s Athletic goalkeeper and former West Ham United shot-stopper, who adds depth to Ghana’s goalkeeping options.
Rising stars Abdul Aziz Issah and Aaron Essel, who were standout performers for the Ghana U-20 team during the recent AFCON U-20 tournament in Egypt, have also been promoted to the senior side, reflecting the technical team’s focus on youth development.
Joining them are promising European-based defenders Caleb Yirenkyi of FC Nordsjælland in Denmark and Mohammed Gadafi Fuseini from Union Saint-Gilloise in Belgium, both of whom are set to bring international experience and defensive strength to the Black Stars.
