41,647 students registered for No Fee Stress initiative

Kwakye Ofosu indicated that a total of 57,327 students have accessed the portal as of now.

The Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has revealed that a total of 41,647 students from public tertiary institutions across the country have successfully completed their registration on the portal launched to implement the government’s ‘No Fee Stress’ initiative, which covers admission and facility user fees for all first-year students.

Kwakye Ofosu, in an X post on May 21, 2025, indicated that a total of 57,327 students have accessed the portal as of now.

He emphasised that registration on the portal is necessary for banking details of students to be obtained to facilitate reimbursement to all first-year students who have made payments.

“Registration necessary to obtain banking details of students for reimbursement to those who have already paid their fees and to validate lists submitted by public tertiary institutions,” he added.

‘No-Fee-Stress Portal’, it requires first-year students to submit their application for the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) to take care of their admission and facility user fees.

The policy covers all Ghanaian first-year students in public tertiary institutions and it enables such students to access financial support from the government of Ghana.

How to apply

To apply, a student is required to visit NoFeesStress.sltf.gov.gh or www.slftf.gov.gh portal and provide his/her Ghana Card Identification number, telephone number and student ID number.
