Ecobank Ghana has held the second draw of its ongoing Ecobank 5 Star Enjoyment Promo, rewarding thousands of customers for their loyalty and continued patronage of the bank’s products and services.

The draw, which took place at the Kasoa Old Market, saw a total of 3,060 lucky customers win various cash prizes and gift rewards ranging from GH¢10,000 to GH¢2,000, as well as fuel coupons, airtime, and insurance cover.

The event formed part of Ecobank’s commitment to giving back to its cherished customers and strengthening its relationship with them after over 40 years of operation in Ghana.

Speaking at the event, the Head of Direct Banking, Consumer Banking at Ecobank Ghana, Yaa Kesewaa Nyanor, explained that Kasoa was deliberately chosen as the venue for the draw because of the importance the bank attaches to its customers in the area.

“The choice of Kasoa is because of the value the bank places on its customers in this area,” she said.

She noted that the promo was designed as a way to reward and appreciate customers who had remained loyal to the bank over the years.

“It is a thoughtful way to reward and appreciate customers who have been loyal to the bank since its operation in Ghana,” she stated.

Madam Nyanor disclosed that a total of GH¢1.5 million in cash and rewards had been committed to the promotion, adding that the bank’s objective was to further strengthen its bond with customers.

“This promo is to deepen our relationship with our customers, 40 years and beyond,” she said.

She further explained that the Kasoa draw was the second of four scheduled draws under the Ecobank 5 Star Enjoyment Promo.

She also reminded customers that eligibility for the promo was straightforward, stating that customers qualified by depositing in multiples of GH¢400.

Also speaking at the event, the Head of Liability Products and Mobile Money at Ecobank Ghana, Mr Jerry Siaw-Lash, said the promo was structured to reward customers for a wide range of banking activities.

Mr Siaw-Lash explained that every deposit of GH¢400 attracted one point, while every loan of GH¢4,000 also attracted a point.

He added that customers who used the bank’s digital platforms were equally rewarded.

“For digital platform transactions, every four transactions also attract a point,” he explained.

He said the promo was aimed at encouraging a savings culture, responsible borrowing and increased use of digital banking channels.

The draw was supervised by officials of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) to ensure transparency and fairness.

The event was also attended by the Municipal Director of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Frederick Adaso, who expressed appreciation to Ecobank for choosing Kasoa to host the draw.

He said the Municipal Assembly was honoured to have such a major national promotion held in the municipality.
“The Municipal Assembly is honoured to have the draw in its municipality,” he said.

Adaso described Kasoa as an area with great potential and assured Ecobank of the Assembly’s readiness to partner the bank to support youth employment initiatives.

“Kasoa has great potential, and the Assembly is ready to partner the bank to help the youth with employment,” he stated.

He added that the YEA had proposals to rebrand Kasoa to attract more businesses into the area.
“Kasoa is a nice environment to do business in,” he said.

During the draw, customers won prizes across several categories.

In the first basket, five customers each won GH¢10,000.

The second basket produced 10 lucky winners, each of whom received GH¢5,000.

In the third basket, 20 customers won GH¢2,500 each.

The fourth basket saw 25 customers winning GH¢2,000 each.

In the sixth basket, 250 customers received gift cards from the bank.

The seventh basket also rewarded 250 customers, each of whom received a fuel card.

In the eighth basket, 2,000 customers received four hours of talk time.

In addition to the cash and gift rewards, 500 of the winners were also given an insurance cover valued at up to GH¢10,000 for one year.

Ecobank officials encouraged customers to continue saving, transacting, and using the bank’s digital platforms to increase their chances of winning in the remaining draws.
