The Black Stars of Ghana delivered a commanding performance on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, defeating the Central African Republic 5-0 in their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match.

The emphatic win took place at Morocco, as the team strengthened its quest for a spot at the global tournament.

Ghana began the game with high intensity, dominating possession and creating several scoring opportunities.

The breakthrough came in a powerful header from defender Mohammed Salisu in the first half to give the visitors the lead. The goal ignited the crowd and set the tone for what would become a dominant display.

World Cup StarsAfter the break, the Black Stars continued their attacking momentum. Goals from Mohammed Salisu, Thomas Partey, Alexander Djiku, Jordan Ayew and Kamaldeen Sulemana seal a big win in Meknès.

The result moves Ghana to the top of their qualifying group, putting them in a strong position as the campaign progresses.

The Black Stars sit top of Group I with 22 points, ahead of second-placed Madagascar.

With this convincing win, the Black Stars have sent a clear message to their rivals — they remain serious contenders for a place at the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
